This document is intended to help us to align the unique aspects of your project to our capabilities and availability. Please fill out with as much information as you can, resave the file to yourcompanyname.doc and email the document to evolve@372digital.com.au

General Information

  • What is the name of your business?
  • Do you currently have a website? What is your URL / or intended URL?
  • Do you have a corporate logo? And is it web ready?
  • Tell us a little about your business and the product/service your site will provide.
  • Who are the primary contacts on this project? And who has final approval on the project? (Please list names, titles, email addresses, and phone numbers.)
  • Where is the website content coming from? What staff will be involved? What are their roles? Is there a webmaster on your staff? (Please list names, titles, email addresses, and phone numbers.)
  • What is your intended launch date for the new site?
  • Please outline your specific budget range for this project? (eg. $2500-$7000, $7000-$10 000, $10 000+)

Current Website (if applicable)

  • What specific areas of your current site do you feel are successful? Why are they successful?
  • Have you conducted usability tests or gathered visitor feedback for your current site? Please include any reports or findings.
  • How important is it to maintain your current look and feel, logo, and branding?

Reasons for (Re)design (if applicable)

  • What are the main reasons for redesigning your site (e.g. new business model, outdated site, expanded services, different audience)?
  • What are your primary online business objectives with the site? What are your secondary objectives? (Examples include increased sales, marketing/branding awareness, and fewer customer service calls.) Please discuss both long- and short-term goals.
  • What is the main business problem you hope to solve with the site? How will you measure the success of the solution?

Audience/Desired Action

  • Describe a typical user. Give basic demographics: age, occupation, income level, purchasing habits, How often are they online? What do they generally use the web for? (Use as much detail as possible in profiling your target user. Profile more than one Type if appropriate.)
  • Will your typical user require any special needs? Mobile version of site, multiple language support, larger Type for easier reading, etc.)
  • What is the primary ‘action’ the user should take when coming to your site (make a purchase, become a member, search for information)?
  • What are the key reasons why the target audience chooses your company’s products and/or services (cost, service, value)?
  • How many people access your site on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis? How do you measure usage? Do you forecast usage to increase after the launch and by how much?

Perception

  • Use a few words to describe how your users should perceive your new site. (Examples include prestigious, friendly, corporate, fun, forward thinking and cutting edge.)
  • List the URLs of other sites that you like. What specifically do you like about these?
  • List some of your competitor URLs.
  • Have you researched your online competition so you have an idea of what you do and don’t want on your site?
  • What sets you apart from your competition (niche)?
  • Why do you believe site visitors should do business with you rather than with a competitor?

Content (if applicable)

  • Do you have images to be included in your site?
  • Will this site use existing content from a current site? If not, will you be creating content in-house or using an outside provider?
  • What visual elements or content should be utilised from your current site or marketing materials (logo, colour scheme, navigation, naming conventions, etc.)

Technology

  • What is your target platform and browser?
  • Are there specific technologies (iOS build, JavaScript, DHTML, etc.) that you would like to use in the site? Please describe in detail.
  • Will you have database functionality (dynamic content generation, personalisation/login)? Please include information regarding existing programs and software.
  • Are you planning to do online sales? Will you have a need for secured transactions (e-commerce)? If so, what is the product, and how many items do you want to sell online?
  • Will you require other specific functionality (such as personalisation or search capability)?

Marketing/Updating

  • What words or phrases would people use to find your site? Which of these words or phrases is most important? Second? Third?
  • What methods of distributing the URL already exist within the company on and offline?
  • Briefly, what are your short-term marketing plans for the redesign and the 6 to 12 months following launch?
  • How much time will you be able to spend online, responding to inquiries that come in via your website? Once a day? Several hours a day?
  • Do you intend to keep the site updated? If so, how often? Who is responsible for updating and providing content?
